Andrew T. Moss Jr. is a fourth generation Washingtonian, and lives in the Shepherd Park Community of Washington, DC with his wife Dr. Regina Davis-Moss. He has two children Adia and Andrew III. Professionally, Andrew is the Outreach and External Relations Manager at the U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). In this position, He engages stakeholders and coordinates outreach focused on minority communities with respect to specific projects and activities related to the OCC’s oversight of the banking industry. Formerly, Andrew was the Senior Compliance and Certification Officer for the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) Fund, where he promoted access to capital and local economic growth in urban and rural low-income communities across the nation. Andrew has also served as a Special Advisor to the Deputy Associate Solicitor at the U.S. Department of Labor, the Professional Development Program Manager at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). Prior to working at the FDIC, Andrew served as the Executive Vice President of Training and Outreach for the National Community Reinvestment Coalition (NCRC) and as a Financial Analyst for Moody’s Investors Service.
Andrew received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from North Carolina Central University, a Master’s Degree in Education Administration from George Mason University, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law. Among his awards and civic involvements, Andrew is a recipient of the Deanwood Community (Washington, DC) Keeper of the Dream Award, Carnegie Academy for Science Education (CASE) Fellowship, and the Durham (NC) Community Service Award. He is also an active member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and has served on the board of directors for America SCORES, the advisory board of the America SAVES Council of the Consumer Federation of America (CFA), the Northwest Church Family, and Urban Ed.
